Q1 2026 · Now
- Provisional patents (Surge, Fertigation, Valve Diagnostics, Magnetic Reset) — filing in process.
- Beta cohort hardware finalization. Firmware test suite passing end-to-end.
- Manufacturing partner selection (off-the-shelf enclosure for wave 1).
Q2 2026 · Next
- Beta cohort kickoff. 20–30 sites across kitchen gardens, multi-site landscape contractors, vineyards, school grounds, HOAs, and greenhouse operators.
- FCC / IC RSS-247 certification engagement begins.
- EPA WaterSense application package compiled.
- Founder-direct support for the beta cohort.
Q3–Q4 2026 · Production wave 1
- Hydro Controller (Base / Pro / Enterprise configurations) — ships.
- Hydro Node · 4-zone — ships.
- Accessories: Camera, Weather Station Kit, Fertigation Module, Sensor 2-Pack, Solar Battery Kit, Zone Expansion Kit — all ship in wave 1.
- UL 916 / UL 1449 / CE certifications targeted for production launch.
- First beta case studies published with signed releases.
H1 2027 · Wave 2
- Hydro Node · 8-zone — ships. Larger plots, mesh-relay capable.
- Utility-nonprovisional patent filings (12-month clock from each provisional).
- Distributor / installer partner program launch.
- White-label dashboard for landscape-contractor portfolios.
H2 2027 and beyond
- Hydro Bridge and Sense Node — wireless-bridge and battery-powered sensor SKUs.
- Custom enclosure tooling for the Hydro Controller (replacing off-the-shelf wave-1 enclosure).
- International market certification (EU, UK, Australia).
- Programmatic API public release for third-party integrations.
How we plan
HydroIQ runs a quarterly planning cycle. We commit at quarter resolution, not month resolution, because the gap between "we know what to build" and "the FCC test lab has a free slot" can swallow a calendar month without anyone doing anything wrong. If a quarter target moves, this page is the first place it shows.
